Magnet Standards:
  1. Students will research service learning / community service opportunities and participate in a project that is a natural and logical progression of their learning.

  2. Students will identify and research a significant community issue.  Having identified an issue, students will collaborate on developing several possible solutions and become active advocates.

  3. Students will learn and apply academic and social skills to improve the community in relation to specific issues as well as in general.

  4. Students will demonstrate research skills by developing an in-depth analysis of several diverse communities over time.  Students will be able to articulate an understanding of the similarities and differences of diverse communities.

  5. Students will understand and demonstrate both the concepts and practice of the reciprocal responsibilities and benefits of the dynamic symbiotic relationship between themselves and the community.
