There is a great deal of excitement about our new state-of-the-art Robin Hood Library, which opened in November 2008. We are one of the few New York City schools to have been chosen to participate in the Robin Hood initiative. Our library houses over 10,000 new books, the latest in multimedia equipment (including a SMART Board and a fully-stocked laptop cart) and a full-time Media Specialist, who collaborates with both students and teachers to develop inquiry-based units of study. Our Robin Hood Library is the perfect place to encourage both print-based and electronic research.

As part of our commitment to integrate electronic media into our curriculum, our students are exposed to all aspects of technology in our full-equipped technology lab. Students create Power Point presentations, maps and brochures to share their learning. In an effort to maximize the number of classes using technology, we purchased three fully-stocked mobile laptop carts, one for each floor in our building. In addition, most classrooms have an IntelliBoard to support interactive learning.
